Marcin Rusak's flower-infused furniture debuts at Milan Design Week
At Milan Design Week 2026, Polish designer Marcin Rusak showcases his botanical furniture collection, Forum Florum. The exhibition includes biodegradable sconce lights and a relief that chronicles the history of the cut flower industry. A highlight is the piece Flower Journey, which illustrates 87 scenes from the industry, touching on Tulip mania and the $8.5 billion loss incurred during the Covid pandemic. Additional works feature a pale-blue cabinet with reflective shelves, an amber room divider, a treasure chest-style cabinet crafted by 30 artisans over six months, and a console table inspired by volcanic tephra. Rusak repurposes surplus plants to minimize waste. The event is scheduled from 20 to 26 April 2026 at SIAM 1838 in Milan.
