March 2024's Major Global Art Events: Biennials, Triennials, and Solo Shows Across Continents
The Whitney Biennial 2024 is set to commence on 20 March at the Whitney in New York, with curators Chrissie Iles and Meg Onli showcasing 71 artists, including Harmony Hammond and Isaac Julien. On 1 March, the March Meeting 2024: Tawashujat will take place at Khalid Bin Mohammed School in Sharjah. Meanwhile, 'Crafting Modernity' will be presented by MoMA starting 8 March, and 'Some May Work as Symbols' will open at Raven Row on 7 March. The 24th Biennale of Sydney is scheduled to launch on 9 March. Additionally, Libby Heaney's 'Quantum Soup' at HEK in Basel opens on 23 March, and the Yokohama Triennale runs from 15 March. Ulises Carrión's retrospective will debut at Museo Reina Sofía on 16 March, while Blank Forms Editions will release an 11-CD box set on 15 March. TONO Festival returns to Mexico City and Puebla starting 12 March. Miranda July's 'New Society' will also premiere on 7 March.
