Marcella Russo, Curator and Press Officer, Dies

Marcella Russo, a prominent Italian curator and press officer for the art world, has died. She was known for her involvement in the historic 'Fuori Uso' exhibition in Pescara from the 1990s, and later became one of Italy's most active art press officers. Friends and colleagues remember her as a magnetic, authentic, and generous person with a contagious laugh and a deep passion for art. She co-founded the press office RPPress with Maria Letizia Paiato, and worked with numerous artists and institutions, including the MATTA museum in Pescara, where her efforts led to a public artwork by Michele Giangrande. Her death was announced in August, and tributes have come from friends such as Roberto Sala, Massimo Mattioli, Giacinto di Pietrantonio, and others.
