Marcella Russo, Art Producer and Fuori Uso Co-Founder, Dies in Pescara

Marcella Russo, a notable Italian art producer and co-founder of the Fuori Uso exhibition, passed away in Pescara after a short fight with cancer. Born in 1969 in Puglia, she dedicated over thirty years to the contemporary art scene. In 1990, Russo partnered with Cesare Manzo to establish Fuori Uso, and from 1995, she managed Arte Nova Servizi, the organization behind the event. The exhibition featured prominent contemporary artists such as Enzo Cucchi, David Hammons, and Maurizio Mochetti. In the 2000s, she launched a gallery in Pescara to promote experimental art and support young talents, particularly from the Marche region. Since 2005, she directed the Associazione Culturale Grand Hotel, turning it into a project development hub. From 2018, she co-led RUSSO // PAIATO PRESS, a studio centered on art and culture.
