Marc Camille Chaimowicz's 'Maybe Metafisica' at La Triennale di Milano

exhibition · 2026-05-05

The exhibition 'Maybe Metafisica' by Marc Camille Chaimowicz has debuted at La Triennale di Milano, under the curation of Eva Fabbris. This marks the first instance of Chaimowicz integrating Giorgio de Chirico's metaphysical themes into his work. Fabbris, prompted by Edoardo Bonaspetti, reached out to Chaimowicz in Paris, sharing an image of de Chirico's 'Bagni Misteriosi' sculpture group, a significant aesthetic influence for the venue. Born in Paris in 1947, Chaimowicz divides his time between London and Burgundy, and his multidisciplinary approach has been ahead of its time since the 1970s, merging visual arts with choreography and curation. The exhibition features a chronological display starting with de Chirico's 'Il Figliuol prodigo' (1973) and includes works like 'Arches' (1975-2016) and 'Two-Speed Staircase' (1999-2016). It will be on view until January 8, 2017, at La Triennale, Viale Alemagna 6, Milan.
