Marble Falls Arthouse Opens with Text-Based Exhibition

On April 25, 2026, the Marble Falls Arthouse, a contemporary art space in the Texas Hill Country, welcomed visitors with its inaugural exhibition titled "Words Matter." This showcase includes text-centric pieces from artists such as Ed Ruscha, Jenny Holzer, Kenturah Davis, and Faith Ringgold. Spanning 2,000 square feet, this gallery is the brainchild of collectors Mickey and Jeanne Klein, who have held positions on the boards of notable institutions like The Contemporary Austin and the Whitney Museum of American Art. They will co-curate exhibitions from their collection. The structure, designed by Lake Flato, features a courtyard by Sada Uchiyama and is situated next to the historic 1910 post office in Marble Falls, a town of 7,000, one hour northwest of Austin. It opened during the 2026 Paint the Town Art Festival and operates on Fridays and Saturdays.
