Manuele Fior Designs 2025 Venice Film Festival Poster

The official poster for the 82nd Venice Film Festival has been designed by Italian comic artist and illustrator Manuele Fior, taking over from Lorenzo Mattotti. Fior, who hails from Cesena and was born in 1975, pursued architecture studies at IUAV in Venice and has lived in cities such as Berlin, Oslo, and Paris before making his mark in the comic world. His collaborations include prestigious publications like The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, and La Repubblica. His graphic novel "Cinquemila chilometri al secondo" (Coconino Press, 2010) earned the Fauve d'Or for Best Album at the 2011 Angoulême International Comics Festival. Fior's artwork features three young figures on stylized chimneys, framing a shot against luminous clouds reminiscent of Tiepolo, transforming the horizon above Venice into a whimsical cityscape. The festival recognized Fior as a unique visual storyteller merging cinema, illustration, and architecture.
