Manuel Segade Named Director of Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo in Móstoles
Manuel Segade has been appointed to head the Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo (CA2M) in Móstoles, located near Madrid, taking over from Ferrán Barenblit. Barenblit had been at the helm since the museum's inception in 2008 until his recent role at MACBA in Barcelona. Segade's background includes a position as chief curator at Centro Gallego de Arte Contemporanea from 2007 to 2009 and curating the international emerging galleries section, Opening, at ARCO from 2012 to 2014. He also works as a freelance curator, writer, and lecturer, with his exhibition Motion/Labour/Machinery currently displayed at TENT Rotterdam. This news was reported by El Pais on December 2, 2015.
