Mannarino performs at Musée d'Orsay for Curieuses Nocturnes
On January 16, 2020, Alessandro Mannarino, the Italian singer-songwriter, made his debut in France at the Musée d'Orsay, as part of the Curieuses Nocturnes series. The Carnival-themed event saw over 6,000 attendees donning masks and enjoying Opéra costumes in the museum's nave. Mannarino, the first Italian artist to grace this esteemed nocturnal program aimed at those under 26, performed hits like L'impero, Apriti cielo, and Me so mbriacato from a suspended platform beneath the iconic clock, surrounded by masterpieces from Monet, Manet, Degas, Van Gogh, and Cézanne. The evening also marked the announcement of his upcoming tour starting on October 9 at the Arena di Verona. Mannarino, an independent artist since 2001, has released four albums and was awarded the Premio Gabriella Ferri in October 2019. The museum hailed him as "one of the greatest singers of his generation."
