Manifesto Festival Returns to Rome with Ipogeo 2022 Edition

The electronic music festival Manifesto returned to Rome for its 2022 edition, titled Ipogeo 2022, held at the Monk venue on November 11-12. The festival, known for its intimate scale and curated lineup, featured performances by Loraine James, Christian Löffler, Gold Panda, Indian Wells, Capibara, and Ivreatronic. An opening event took place on November 10 at Palazzo delle Esposizioni with sets by Arssalendo and Fukinsei. The festival maintained its characteristic semi-dark atmosphere with two stages at opposite ends of the room, allowing seamless transitions between sets. Loraine James delivered a frenetic yet danceable live set, while Christian Löffler offered a more dreamy performance that grew turbulent. Gold Panda's melodic electronics and Indian Wells' blend of dreamy atmospheres and rhythmic drum machine pulses were highlights. The festival remains a small-scale event within Italy's medium-sized festival scene, contrasting with larger events like Club To Club in Turin. The Monk venue, located in Rome's Portonaccio district, attracted a diverse crowd in terms of style and age.
