Manifesta 14 Reveals 102 Participants Across Pristina

Manifesta 14, the traveling European Biennial, has revealed its complete list of participants for the 2022 edition in Pristina, Kosovo, which will take place from July 22 to October 30. This biennial will showcase 102 artists from 30 nations across 25 locations, such as the Great Hamman and the Palace of Youth and Sports. Remarkably, 39% of the participants hail from Kosovo, marking the highest local representation in the event's history, while an additional 25% are from the Western Balkans. Featured international artists include Lee Bul, Thao Nguyen Phan, and Larry Achiampong. The program, titled "It matters what worlds world worlds: how to tell stories otherwise," was collaboratively developed by Creative Mediator Catherine Nichols and the Manifesta 14 team. Additionally, the former Hivzi Sulejmani Library will reopen as the Centre for Narrative Practice and Oaza education space on July 23, alongside significant initiatives like the Eco Urban Learning Centre and the Green Corridor in the old Brick Factory.
