Manifesta 12: Palazzo Mazzarino Exhibitions and VR Catalogue

The 12th edition of the traveling biennial Manifesta is taking place in Palermo, with Palazzo Mazzarino showcasing four exhibitions on its ground floor. Marcin Dudek's interactive sculpture "Giochi senza frontiere," supported by Edel Assanti, explores themes of migration in the courtyard. In the former stables, Per Barclay's installation immerses a colonnaded room in black oil, producing a mesmerizing mirror effect, with promotion by Francesco Pantaleone and Ruinart champagne. Curated by Vincenzo Schillaci, the group exhibition "La febbre" features artists such as Pennacchio Argentato, Ann Iren Buan, and others. Another group show, "Il richiamo di Cthulhu," curated by Lorenzo Benedetti, includes works from Domenico Mangano and others. Additionally, a unique catalogue created with the Virtruvio Virtual Museum offers a VR experience for scanned printed works. The noble floor displays art by Damien Hirst, Giovanni Boldini, Chinese ceramics, and Zurbarán paintings, owned by the Berlingeri family.
