Manif d'art 12 to Explore Climate Change Through Winter in Quebec City
The 12th edition of Manif d'art – The Québec City Biennial, named Briser la glace / Splitting Ice, is scheduled to run from February 28 to April 19, 2025. Curated by Didier Morelli, this biennial will address climate change and environmental issues, showcasing the work of over 60 artists from 18 different countries, such as Joyce Joumaa, Elias Nafaa, and Ali Yass. The event will be hosted across 41 venues in Québec City, Lévis, and surrounding regions, featuring a variety of activities including performances, film screenings, workshops, discussions, and public art installations, many of which are free. The Young Curators initiative includes Camille, Dounia Bouzidi, Laurence Duchesne, and Ally Rosilio, with notable artists like Joi T. Arcand, Pia Arke, and Françoise Sullivan participating.
