Manhattan Street Art Map: A Walking Tour of Public Sculptures

exhibition · 2026-05-04

A public art walking tour in Manhattan showcases more than 30 installations stretching from Battery Park to Harlem. Notable pieces include 'Joie de Vivre' by Mark di Suvero (1998), 'Red Cube' by Isamu Noguchi (1968), and 'Group of Four Trees' by Jean Dubuffet (1969), along with Agnes Denes' wheat field (1982) and Olafur Eliasson's waterfall (2008). Carmen Herrera's 'Estructuras Monumentales' will be on display at City Hall Park from July 11 to November 8. Established in 1977, the Public Art Fund advocates for accessible art. Additionally, Elle Perez's new project will feature photographs at 100 bus stops in the Bronx from August 13 to November 24, highlighting the need for more female statues, which inspired the 'She Built NYC' initiative.
