Manar Abu Dhabi 2025 Reveals Curatorial Team and Light Art Exhibition Details

Scheduled from November 15, 2025, to January 4, 2026, Manar Abu Dhabi 2025 is set to be organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi. The exhibition, titled The Light Compass, will showcase more than 19 installations specifically designed for various sites, delving into the Gulf's connection with light. It will take place on Jubail Island and will also feature installations in Al Ain, including Al Qattara and Al Jimi Oases. The curatorial team comprises artistic director Khai Hori, co-curators Alia Zaal Lootah and Munira Al Sayegh, along with assistant curator Mariam Alshehhi. Public activities will encompass workshops, talks, and performances. Hori characterizes the exhibition as a voyage of exploration influenced by both Emirati heritage and modern experiences.
