MAN Nuoro announces Lisetta Carmi retrospective for December 2020

On May 29, 2020, the MAN museum in Nuoro reopened its doors following a challenging summer, attracting a solid number of visitors. In early December, the museum will launch a retrospective showcasing the work of Genoese photographer Lisetta Carmi (born 1924), which will include previously unseen pieces from the 1960s and 1970s, featuring Sardinian images. Director Luigi Fassi highlighted the museum's dedication to digital initiatives and its collection, while also tackling issues of sustainability and innovation amidst limited resources. He urged for ambitious projects to elevate the role of museums and expressed worries about maintaining international connections due to travel restrictions. While visitor attendance has been robust, a decrease in foreign tourists is anticipated.
