exhibition · 2026-05-04

The MAMbo – Museum of Modern Art in Bologna has unveiled the exhibition titled “That’s IT! On the Latest Generation of Artists in Italy and a Meter and Eighty from the Border.” Curated by Lorenzo Balbi, Sabrina Samorì, and Stefano Vittorini, this showcase features 56 artists born after 1980, chosen without any stylistic constraints. The artists had complete freedom in their presentations and collaborated on the curation. Highlights include “Great Loss” by Licciardello & Tagliavia and Bisagni's diptychs on Abu Ghraib. The exhibition also extends to Cinema Lumière and the museum's Instagram, emphasizing installations, photography, and multimedia works over painting.
