MAMbo Bologna Launches €10,000 Art Residency Program
MAMbo – Museo d’Arte Moderna di Bologna has unveiled the ROSE / ROSE Residency Programme for 2018/2019, which will grant selected artists €10,000 to assist with production and exhibition expenses. Applications are accepted until April 6, 2018, targeting artists or collectives with established backgrounds in contemporary visual arts. Curated by Giulia Pezzoli, the residency occurs at the Residenza per Artisti Sandra Natali and Villa delle Rose, an 18th-century villa featuring 200 sqm of exhibition space that previously hosted the Galleria d’Arte Moderna. Notable exhibitions at Villa delle Rose included works by Helmut Newton and Francesco Clemente. The program is divided into two sessions: autumn 2018 and spring 2019, with evaluations conducted by a commission that includes Lorenzo Balbi and others. The grant is funded by Istituzione Bologna Musei.
