MAM-SP Launches Educational Project in Minecraft with Microsoft Partnership
The Museu de Arte Moderna de São Paulo (MAM-SP) has introduced a new educational initiative in Minecraft, in collaboration with Microsoft and Agência Africa. This project enables students to navigate a replica of the museum, recreate artworks, and delve into the history of Brazilian art. It includes four lesson plans centered on geometric and constructive art, showcasing 18 pieces by artists from the concrete and neoconcrete movements, such as Antônio Lizárraga, Athos Bulcão, and Hélio Oiticica. Teachers are provided with control tools and links to the MAM website. To celebrate the launch, a film featuring actor Lázaro Ramos, directed by Rog Souza, was produced. MAM president Mariana Guarini Berenguer highlighted the project's relevance to the museum's mission and its historical importance.
