institutional · 2026-04-23

Capacete marks its 22nd anniversary on June 19 and, in collaboration with MAM Rio, announces an open call for residents and researchers in Rio de Janeiro via two distinct programs. The residency initiative will choose 12 artists starting in August for a duration of five months, while the research grant program will accept six participants throughout September. Each applicant may only apply to one program. Both initiatives will be conducted online, providing monthly stipends of R$750 for virtual residencies and R$1,000 for in-person residencies, alongside R$1,500 for research grants. Residency applicants must have three years of experience, while research grant applicants need five. The deadline for applications is July 10, with results revealed on August 3 and August 17. This partnership, initiated in March, seeks to foster international collaborations.
