Malli Showroom by UP2DATE Architects in Almaty

UP2DATE architects, led by Akhat Baimenov, transformed an industrial shell into a 120 m² showroom for Malli, a womenswear brand from Almaty, Kazakhstan. Completed in 2025, the project turned an unpromising space with exposed services into a calm, architectural interior. The showroom operates by appointment only, offering a curated experience distinct from the brand's existing stores. Curated by Miwa Negoro, the interior features products from B&B Italia and Cappellini. The design brief called for an unexpected transformation, creating a space that defies visitor expectations upon first arrival.
