Mali Wu and Francesco Manacorda to co-curate 2018 Taipei Biennial with 'Eco-systemic Interdependency' theme

The 11th Taipei Biennial will be co-curated by Mali Wu and Francesco Manacorda, opening in November 2018. Their proposed concept 'Eco-systemic Interdependency' examines nature's fragility and human impact consequences. Wu serves as an artist and lecturer at National Kaohsiung Normal University's Graduate Institute of Interdisciplinary Art. Manacorda holds the position of artistic director at V-A-C Foundation. Taipei Fine Arts Museum made the announcement about the biennial's curatorial team. The exhibition represents a significant international platform for contemporary art in Taiwan. Both curators bring distinct institutional backgrounds to the collaboration. The biennial continues Taipei's position as a major Asian art destination.
