Maker's Mark Releases Star Hill Farm Whisky with Regenerative Agriculture Focus
On Earth Day in 2026, Maker's Mark is set to launch Star Hill Farm Whisky, which will be their first wheat whiskey in over seven decades. This new whiskey is made using regenerative farming techniques, with all the corn and wheat coming from farms within a 30-mile range of their distillery in Kentucky. They’ve formed the Regenerative Alliance, which includes over 60,000 acres of farms committed to these sustainable practices. The distillery also features artwork from talents like Myers Berg, Brook Forrest White Jr., Dante Marioni, and Dale Chihuly. Rob Samuels, the managing director, shared that his grandparents founded Maker’s Mark based on the idea that investing in the land enhances flavor. This initiative kicked off in 2016, aiming for full certification by 2030.
