Major Exhibitions Across China Feature Warhol Retrospective, Hergé's Tintin, and Contemporary Explorations

The Power Station of Art in Shanghai is showcasing 'Tintin and Hergé' through 31 October, highlighting Hergé's artistic journey and influences, notably 'The Blue Lotus' (1934-1935), which illustrated China amid the 1931 Japanese invasion. Hergé's acquaintance, Zhang Chongren, provided insights into Chinese culture, and although Chiang Kai-shek extended an invitation to Hergé for a visit to China, it ultimately did not take place. Meanwhile, UCCA Beijing features 'Becoming Andy Warhol' until 10 October, displaying 400 pieces, including a replica of The Factory's iconic red couch. Yan Bing's exhibition 'Suddenly Everything Became Clear' is on view at Shanghart's Shanghai HQ until 17 October, alongside 'AI Delivered: The Abject' at Chronus Art Center, also running until 17 October.
