Avviato un Importante Progetto di Database per Documentare l'Arte Russa nelle Collezioni Occidentali
Un nuovo database bilingue che presenta l'arte russa dal 1860 al 1940 nei musei occidentali è stato introdotto su art-russia.org. Denominato "Arte Russa 1860-1940 nei Musei Occidentali: Banca Dati Informativa su Internet", questa iniziativa fa parte del Progetto Banca Dati del Patrimonio Culturale, che riceve il sostegno del Ministero della Cultura russo e finanziamenti dalla Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, Judith Rothschild Foundation, Galerie Gmurzynska, tra altri. Il progetto è guidato da Nicolas V. Iljine, con contributi significativi di Zelfira Tregulova e Irina F. Uritzkaya. Il database mira a includere tra 5.000 e 7.000 opere d'arte di 150 artisti, affrontando la mancanza di rappresentazione nelle collezioni occidentali. Lanciato nell'estate del 2003, presenta schede dettagliate e immagini digitali di alta qualità provenienti da 69 istituzioni.
