MAIC-UI: Zero-Code System for Interactive STEM Courseware
MAIC-UI is an authoring platform that requires no coding skills, allowing teachers to swiftly create and modify interactive course materials from textbooks, PPTs, and PDFs. It employs structured knowledge analysis alongside multi-modal comprehension to ensure pedagogical integrity, featuring a two-step generate-verify-optimize process that distinguishes content alignment from visual adjustments. Additionally, it incorporates Click-to-Locate editing with Unified Diff-based incremental generation, facilitating iteration cycles of under 10 seconds. A controlled lab study involving 40 participants was carried out. This system overcomes limitations found in generative AI tools, which often yield static presentations, struggle with lengthy documents, lack pedagogical precision, and take 200–600 seconds for complete regeneration.
