Magreen Gallery Opens in Genoa with Spiritual Freedom Exhibition

exhibition · 2026-04-26

Magreen Gallery, established in 2014 by photographer Alberto Magrin, has launched a new venue at Via Luccoli, 22/S1 in Genoa, Italy, following prior expansions in Pavia, Sassari, and Rapallo. To commemorate its tenth anniversary, the gallery is hosting the exhibition "Spiritual Freedom," which will be available from July 4 to September 29, 2024. This showcase features Magrin's porcelain photographs adorned with divine motifs alongside four vibrant terracotta spheres by Antonio Teruzzi, born in 1945 in Brugherio. Teruzzi's art explores human struggles and societal questions. Critic Enrico Formica notes a "short circuit" between sacred and secular in Magrin's work, while Loris Innocenti highlights Teruzzi's spheres' connections to medieval and Renaissance themes. Magreen Gallery promotes both emerging and established artists, focusing on photography and digital media, and has participated in international events like MIA Photo Fair and Paris Photo. Its artist roster includes Angela Vinci, Caroline Coppey, and others who explore sociocultural issues through various mediums.
