Magnus Gjoen Designs Limited Edition Gift Box for Marchesi di San Giuliano's 80th Anniversary
For the 80th anniversary of the first marmalade recipe created by Maria Paternò Castello dei Duchi di Carcaci, the Marchesi di San Giuliano farm, located between Catania and Syracuse, has collaborated with London-born Norwegian artist Magnus Gjoen. Gjoen redesigned the iconic gift box, producing a limited edition of 80 copies. The box contains new products—mandarin biscuits and orange and ginger marmalade—created for the event. It also includes a signed print titled "Il cuore di San Giuliano," featuring an anatomical heart symbolizing the passion behind the farm's history. The box design is inspired by Gjoen's work "About the Dead, Either Well or Nothing," a black-and-white monochrome still life with insects highlighted in gold leaf, exploring beauty and nature's cycles. The box is available exclusively on the Marchesi di San Giuliano website.
