Magnum Photographers' Behind-the-Scenes Shots of 'The Misfits' at Forte di Bard

Running until September 17, 2023, the exhibition 'The Misfits by Magnum Photographers' is hosted at Forte di Bard in Valle d'Aosta, under the curation of Andrea Holzherr. This showcase includes more than 60 images that chronicle the production of John Huston's 1961 movie 'The Misfits', featuring iconic performances by Marilyn Monroe, Clark Gable, and Montgomery Clift, with a script penned by Arthur Miller. Magnum Photos, engaged for promotional purposes, had unique access to the filming process. The photographs, taken by notable photographers such as Eve Arnold, Cornell Capa, Henri Cartier-Bresson, and others, capture the actors' vulnerabilities, excitement, and tensions, creating a visual narrative of the film's behind-the-scenes experience.
