Magdathome: new Turin design brand by Mussat Sartor and Giolito

Simone Mussat Sartor and Pierfranco Giolito launch Magdathome, a new Turin-based design brand focused on handmade, unique pieces. Mussat Sartor is a photographer with Galleria Alberto Peola and fashion designer behind Born in Berlin (co-founded with Judith Hohnschopp); Giolito is an artisan specializing in metals who has collaborated with contemporary artists and founded Diplopie about ten years ago. The brand's name references Irina Sanpiter's character in the film 'Bianco, rosso e verdone', who famously exclaims 'Non ce la faccio più' (I can't take it anymore). The founders aim to counter overly decorative design trends. Their production uses only iron and leather, manipulated directly and naturally. The limited product range includes bookshelves, magazine racks, bedside tables, and a small bathroom organizer with mirror.
