Madrid's Solo Project Launches Major Cultural Hub with Dual Exhibitions
In Madrid's Salamanca district, the Solo project has evolved into Solo CSV, a cultural center envisioned by architect Juan Herreros, covering more than 4,000 square meters. This space features interconnected areas such as the Bowman Hal Art Gallery, a sound experimentation zone, and venues for international galleries. The Bowman Hal Art Gallery is set to debut in April with a solo show by Australian artist William Mackinnon, titled Snakes and Ladders, which will display nine large-scale paintings that depict his tumultuous life. Meanwhile, the original Solo space, now known as Solo Independencia, presents "Apocrifo," an exhibition that contrasts contemporary pieces from the David Cantolla and Ana Gervas collection with works by Juan Barjola (1919–2004), curated by Rebekah Rhodes. The exhibition is accessible for free on weekdays with prior reservation.
