Madrid's 'Se busca comisario' 2026 Call for Curators
The Comunidad de Madrid has launched the 2026 edition of 'Se busca comisario', a curatorial competition organized by Sala de Arte Joven since 2009. Two winning projects will each receive €50,000 (tax included) for execution and production. Curators must be under 35 and reside in the Comunidad de Madrid; collectives may apply if at least 50% of members meet the age requirement. Projects must feature artists preferably under 35 who live, work, or exhibit in the region. The deadline for submissions is May 21, 2026, at 12:00. The jury includes the subdirectora general de Bellas Artes, the asesora de arte of the Comunidad de Madrid, the director of Museo CA2M, and three recognized sector professionals. Winners will be announced in July 2026. The call is open to Spanish and foreign curators, individual or collective, with a detailed project dossier required.
