exhibition · 2026-03-24

From February 26 to September 6, 2026, CentroCentro in Madrid will host 'Madrid Colecciona. 50 colecciones de arte contemporáneo.' This exhibition showcases one hundred artworks sourced from fifty private collections, with each collector providing two pieces: a beloved work and a recent addition. An advisory committee, featuring María de Corral and Joaquín Gallego, curated the selections, with coordination by curator Adrián Piera and design by Marta Redondo. The exhibition is structured around five thematic axes. Among the highlighted collections are TBA21 Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Contemporary, established by Francesca Thyssen-Bornemisza in 2002, and Fundación Campocerrado. Noteworthy artists include Jasbir Puar, Bleda y Rosa, and Eugenio Merino, reflecting Madrid's dynamic art scene and the significance of private collectors.
