Madrid's Art Week: Key Exhibitions During ARCOmadrid 2025

From March 5 to 9, 2025, ARCOmadrid takes place in Madrid, showcasing a variety of exhibitions. "Otros Surrealismos," curated by Estrella De Diego at Fundación Mapfre, highlights over 200 pieces that honor André Breton's inaugural Surrealist Manifesto. Sala Alcalá 31 hosts the first retrospective of Secundino Hernández (born in Madrid, 1975), featuring more than 70 artworks. At Fundación Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Pol Taburet presents his first exhibition in Spain, displaying ten paintings of mutant figures. The Museo Arqueológico Nacional exhibits Bernardí Roig's "Caps y Bous. El tercer cuerno," while Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza showcases 18 paintings by Francesco Guardi. Huguette Calard's retrospective at Reina Sofía includes 300 works, although 33 loans are absent. Additional exhibitions feature Rafael Canogar at CentroCentro and Picasso's Vollard Suite at Museo ICO.
