Madrid Design Festival 2026: New Collectible Design Fair FORMA and Guatemala Focus

The ninth edition of the Madrid Design Festival (MDF), overseen by Álvaro Matías and organized by La Fabrica, is scheduled to take place from February 5 to March 8, 2026, in Madrid. A notable new feature is FORMA, a collectible design fair running from March 4–8 at Matadero's Central de Diseño and Nave Una, curated by Emerio Arena and Antonio Luna. FORMA will present around forty exhibits, primarily from Spain, France, Turkey, and the U.S., highlighting distinctive handmade creations. Key locations for the festival include Centro Cultural Fernán Gómez and the Institución de Libre Enseñanza (ILE). Noteworthy attractions comprise a retrospective of André Ricard, 'Manifesto Mediterraneo,' and Guatemalan textile art. The MDF Awards 2026 will recognize Konstantin Grcic, Juli Capella, and Rossana Orlandi.
