Madrid Design Festival 2023: Best of the Sixth Edition
The sixth edition of the Madrid Design Festival, led by Álvaro Matías, is taking place until April 9, 2023, at multiple locations. The festival tackles pressing issues such as climate change and urban mobility through a series of exhibitions, talks, and workshops. Noteworthy events include 'Sevilla. Sombra Iluminada' at the Fernán Gómez Centro Cultural, curated by Macarena Navarro-Reverter, showcasing 100 works from 25 artists. 'Pottery-Mania' highlights 14 female artists and celebrates mid-20th-century modernism in Madrid. At Matadero Madrid, 'Natural Connections' features contributions from Inma Bermúdez and others. The Museo ICO presents a retrospective of Pablo Palazuelo, while CaixaForum exhibits 'PRINT3D.' The MINI Design Award was given to Álvaro Catalán de Ocón and Ángela Polanco, with additional honors for Curro Claret, Hella Jongerius, and Stefano Boeri.
