Madre Museum in Naples Launches New Season with Three Exhibitions

The Madre Museum in Naples has kicked off a new season featuring three exhibitions that revamp its permanent collection. The first exhibition, titled 'Per_formare una collezione: The Show Must Go ON,' is curated by Andrea Viliani and showcases pieces from more than 50 artists, highlighting Alessandro Mendini alongside Maurizio Cattelan and Urs Fischer. The second exhibition, 'mined_oud,' is a solo presentation by Darren Bader that encourages audience participation. The third, 'Per_formare una collezione: Per un archivio dell’arte in Campania,' incorporates archival methods into the collection. Additionally, the museum has broadened its partnerships, including a collaboration with Museo di Capodimonte to display John Armleder's 'Split!' next to works by Alberto Burri. Director Andrea Viliani contemplates the museum's evolving strategy as his tenure concludes.
