Madre Museum in Naples becomes Italy's most social museum with WhatsApp, Telegram, Spotify and Smartify

The Madre Museum in Naples has launched a multi-platform digital strategy to engage audiences, including messaging services via WhatsApp and Telegram, a curated Spotify playlist titled 'Musica ad arte @Madre' featuring tracks like David Bowie's 'Starman', Frank Zappa's 'Joe's Garage', and The Rolling Stones' 'Gimme Shelter', and the art recognition app Smartify. The museum has added 50 new works to its permanent collection by artists including Maurizio Cattelan, Urs Fischer, Alberto Di Fabio, and Katharina Sieverding, and has reorganized its displays. A major exhibition was held in collaboration with the Archaeological Park of Pompeii. The WhatsApp service (number 344 1301306) allows users to subscribe by sending 'Iscrivimi' to receive event updates and practical information (hours, ticket prices, directions) from 9 AM to 6 PM. The Telegram group is accessible via @museomadre. This initiative positions Madre as the most social museum in southern Italy, embracing new technologies to enhance visitor experience.
