Madragoa Gallery Opens EMBORA Live Viewing Room in Rome Apartment
Madragoa, an Italian-rooted contemporary art gallery based in Lisbon, has introduced EMBORA, a fresh initiative located at Via di Parione 44 in Rome, close to Piazza Navona. This project converts a private residence into a "live viewing room," creating a cozy environment for art appreciation. Gallerist Matteo Consonni highlights the initiative's intention to counter the increasing prevalence of online viewing rooms, prioritizing physical interaction with art. The exhibition showcases pieces from 14 global artists, including Augusto Alves da Silva and Jamie Welsh, installed to foster natural dialogue without imposed concepts. Running from February 13 to March 7, 2021, EMBORA seeks to enhance Madragoa's offerings through personal experiences. Future editions in other cities are a possibility. Meanwhile, two exhibitions are set for the Lisbon space, but a lockdown may delay their launch. Appointments can be arranged via email.
