Made514's Dreamlike Street Art at Magma Gallery, Bologna

exhibition · 2026-05-05

The dreamlike and colorful street art of Made514 (Alberto Capozzi, born 1975 in Padua) arrives at Magma, Bologna's only gallery dedicated to this art form. Less abrasive than Blu, Made514 presents an appreciable aesthetic characterized by a soft, fluid line, evident in a mural created specifically for this exhibition. From large paintings on metal sheets, the artist achieves surrealist harmonies, where photorealism of faces (or parts of them)—akin to Alfredo Serri's magical realism—floats in atmospheres close to Dalí, particularly his fascination with Italian Renaissance classicism. For the Bologna show, Made514 created the sculpture Fingers feeling memories, in resin imitating marble, which reproduces the writer's tag, giving three-dimensionality to what is usually painted on a wall. The exhibition runs until January 14, 2017 at Magma Gallery, Via Santo Stefano 164, Bologna.
