Made x Barbican Collection Brings Brutalist Design Home
This month, Made is set to unveil a new collection of 23 furniture and lighting items inspired by London's Barbican Centre. Created in partnership with the Barbican, the collection draws from the estate's Brutalist design and the work of designer Miriam Howitt from the late 1960s. Featured pieces include 'Dual' accent chairs, 'Plinth' coffee table, 'Curve' lamp series, 'Coffer' ceiling and wall lights, alongside sofas, a dining table, and accessories like a graphic cushion and 'Brute' rug, with prices beginning at £32. Available at Made.com starting August 2026 and select items at the Barbican Shop, Made will also present a free installation at the Barbican Centre during the London Design Festival this September. Additionally, the Barbican is looking for a designer to create 500 furniture pieces for its 50th anniversary.
