exhibition · 2026-05-21

Maddy Inez, a ceramist and the daughter of Alison Saar as well as the granddaughter of Betye Saar, has launched her inaugural solo exhibition alongside Megan Mulrooney in Los Angeles. The exhibition, named 'Nascence,' will be on display until June 20th and showcases 20 ceramic vessels and wall pieces, all crafted within the last year, each honoring a specific plant species. Inez's hand-built biomorphic sculptures draw inspiration from mysticism and ancestral wisdom. Her recent transition to larger works has attracted significant attention in the art community. Inez believes that art is inherited, stating, "Art is how I was taught how to process the world."
