MACRO Roma Reopens Under Cristiana Perrella with Community-Focused Vision
On December 11, 2025, the MACRO museum in Rome welcomed visitors again, now led by Cristiana Perrella, who envisions it as a center for the community. The new motto, 'Cara Città (abbracciami)', embodies this vision. The programming showcases iconic Roman cinema, including Visconti's 'Bellissima' and Fellini's 'Roma', as well as innovative pieces like Lyric Dela Cruz's 2025 film 'Come la notte' and Daniele Vicari's 2024 documentary on Fela Kuti. The primary exhibition, 'UNAROMA', co-curated by Perrella and former director Luca Lo Pinto, presents works from 40 artists along a green area designed by studio Parasite2.0. Entry costs €6 (free until December 25, 2025), while cinema tickets are priced at €7.
