MACRO Roma opens search for new artistic director to replace Luca Lo Pinto

The MACRO – Museo di Arte Contemporanea di Roma is on the lookout for a new artistic director to succeed Luca Lo Pinto, who has been at the helm since 2019. This position, overseen by Azienda Speciale Palaexpo, requires applicants to have a minimum of five years in contemporary art curation, with at least three years in a directorial or head curator role. Candidates must also present a three-year cultural project. The annual salary for the director is €70,000 plus VAT, alongside a program budget of €700,000. The selection committee will consist of two university professors. Established 22 years ago in the old Birra Peroni brewery, the MACRO covers 14,000 square meters and has previously showcased artists like Anish Kapoor.
