Macallan's Final Harmony Collection Whiskies Explore Coconut Flavors
The sixth and final installment of The Macallan's Harmony Collection has been unveiled, showcasing two single malt whiskies that draw inspiration from coconut: Inspired by Fresh Coconut and Inspired by Toasted Coconut. This collection, which started in 2021 with Rich Cacao and Fine Cacao, developed in collaboration with chef Jordi Roca, also features editions like Intense and Smooth Arabica, Amber and Green Meadow, Vibrant and Guardian Oak, and Inspired by Tea. Lead whisky maker Euan Kennedy explained that the coconut notes derive from oak lactones found in American oak. Priced at $185 each, Inspired by Fresh Coconut is available this month, while Inspired by Toasted Coconut is exclusive to global travel retail. A tasting event at Delano Miami Beach is scheduled from August 5 to 9.
