MAC and Galería Hifas Open Call for 'Dominio público' Art Residency
The Universidad de Chile's Museo de Arte Contemporáneo (MAC), in partnership with Galería Hifas, has initiated an open call for its residency program titled 'Dominio público: residencia de arte y territorio.' This opportunity is designed for emerging artists aged 30 and under residing in the Metropolitan Region. The four-week residency at MAC's Quinta Normal location provides a gross fee of $1,500,000, along with an additional $1,000,000 for production costs. Participants will also present their work publicly and exhibit at Galería Hifas. The selection committee for the 2026 program comprises Paula Miranda, Carola Chacón, Ruth Monje, Violeta Chiang, and María Jesús Schultz. Applications will be accepted from August 6 to August 27, 2026, with results announced on September 10, 2026.
