M9 Museum in Mestre Opens Immersive Space M9 Orizzonti for Fifth Anniversary
Opened in December 2018, the M9 museum in Mestre focuses on 20th-century history. Following a financial recovery, Serena Bertolucci will take over as the new director in January 2024, succeeding Luca Molinari. To mark its fifth anniversary, the museum launched M9 Orizzonti, a 400-square-meter immersive exhibition area featuring state-of-the-art projection technology, created by Studio Visuale in collaboration with Salotto Buono. The first exhibit, "Infoxication. Accecati dai dati," presented by Barcelona's Domestic Data Streamers, tackles the issue of information overload. This initiative received funding of €125,000 from the Veneto Region and was selected as the second-best among more than 300 submissions. Additionally, the M9Edu section has been updated with "La Frontiera Adriatica," highlighting the 20th-century history of the Julian-Dalmatian region.
