exhibition · 2026-04-26

M9 – Museo del ’900 in Mestre has unveiled its 2025 exhibition program, following a successful first year under director Serena Bertolucci. In 2024, the museum saw a 30% increase in attendance, with over 130,000 participants in museum activities and 62,000 visitors to its permanent and temporary exhibitions. The 2025 season opens on March 15 with 'Arte Salvata. Capolavori oltre la guerra dal MuMa di Le Havre', featuring Impressionist works by Monet, Renoir, and Gauguin on loan from the MuMa museum in Le Havre for the first time. Curated by Marianne Mathieu and Geraldine Lefebvre, the exhibition runs until August 31, 2025, marking the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and exploring art and resilience. A documentary section highlights the wartime devastation of both Le Havre and Mestre. The second major exhibition, 'Identitalia – The Iconic Italian Brands', curated by Carlo Martino and Francesco Zurlo and promoted by the Ministry of Made in Italy, runs from September 19, 2025, to February 15, 2026. It showcases logos, advertisements, and products from 100 Italian companies, celebrating industrial and creative heritage. Beyond exhibitions, M9 will host the Festival Internazionale della Geopolitica, Mestre Book Fest, and the debut of Stop e-Motion Days for stop-motion animation. Educational initiatives include digital training workshops and the 'Ritroviamoci in M9' call involving over 200 local associations.
