M Woods Art Museum to Launch Second Beijing Venue in August with Hockney and Lee Exhibitions
In August, M Woods Art Museum is set to launch a second venue in Beijing's Longfusi Development, located in the Dongcheng district. This new four-story facility covers over 3,500 square meters and has been reimagined by architect Shuhei Aoyama in collaboration with B.L.U.E. Studio. Co-founder Lin Han highlighted the location's historical importance and its strategic centrality, stating that establishing another site in Beijing was a long-cherished goal achieved after thorough planning and discussions. He believes the M Woods Art community will bring essential vibrancy and creativity to the area. Founded in 2014 by Lin Han, Wanwan Lei, and Michael Xufu Huang, the museum showcases works by artists such as Lucas Arruda and David Hockney, with inaugural exhibitions featuring Hockney and Austin Lee.
