Lyon Biennale 2019: New Director, New Venue, Curatorial Team from Palais de Tokyo
The 15th Lyon Biennale will occur from September 18, 2019, to January 5, 2020, in Lyon, France. Isabelle Bertolotti has taken over as director, succeeding Thierry Raspail. This year's curation is led by the Palais de Tokyo team, which includes several prominent figures. The main exhibition venue has moved to the former Fagor factory in the Gerland district, covering 29,000 square meters and operational from 1945 until 2015. The Biennale will debut the Veduta platform, emphasize new talent at the IAC in Villeurbanne, and feature over 200 projects addressing ecological and community themes across various sites.
